How the University of Graz is structured

The University of Graz is one of the largest institutions in the country. A clear structure organises and divides the different areas and thus creates the foundation for efficient processes.

The University of Graz is a legal entity under public law. It is divided into six faculties.
The Rectorate, University Council and Senate form the governing bodies of the University.
The legal basis is the Universities Act 2002. In addition, each university issues the necessary regulations within the framework of the laws and ordinances itself by ordinance.
