Basics of generative AI and prompting (for university teachers)

In this workshop, you will learn how text-generative AI tools work and how to efficiently and thoughtfully use them. The focus is on learning basic prompting strategies that enable you to achieve more precise and targeted results for your teaching through specific questions and contextual information. In the practical part, text-generative tools will be used to test the strategies and use cases presented and the results will be discussed together.

The target group are employees of the University of Graz who use text-generative AI and would like to receive practical tips and suggestions for their teaching. For the practical part of the workshop, the AI tool uniGPT provided by the University of Graz can be used.
