Digital Starter Kit: Tips for Teaching with Technology @ Uni Graz

Are you interested in incorporating (more) digital tools into your teaching, both in-person and online? Would you like to explore the wide range of tools available at the University of Graz? Whether you’re seeking fresh inspiration, want to stay up to date with our latest resources, or simply want to enhance your digital teaching skills, we invite you to our “Digital Starter Kit” webinar. Our session will cover a variety of topics, including the effective use of videoconferencing tools BigBlueButton (uniMEET) & ZOOM to create an engaging and collaborative environment for your students. We will also introduce the latest features and improvements of the learning platform Moodle, which will be available in its upgraded 4.2 version starting from September 2023. Additionally, we will showcase Particify, an audience response system recently implemented at the University of Graz. Lastly, we will present various proven methods and best-practice tips to help you kickstart the new semester successfully.

The webinar includes the following topics:

• Overview: Digital tools for teaching at the University of Graz
• Selected methods for teaching with Moodle 4.2
• Selected methods for synchronous teaching (e.g., videoconferencing, activating students with audience response systems)
•  Best-practice tips & suggestions for teaching with digital technologies

This English-language webinar is aimed at all employees of the University of Graz, specifically at new teachers and lecturers who are not yet familiar with the infrastructure and possibilities for teaching with digital technologies at the University of Graz, and anyone who wants to learn about new developments.
