Empirical methods of linguistic research
Field research does not always take place with spades and binoculars. Experiments are not only conducted with petri dishes and microscopes. However, carrying out research projects and interpreting data correctly are always necessary skills for researchers.
Language acquisition research, multilingualism and the application of corpus methods in linguistics form the special focus of this module. The skills acquired will be put to the test in your own empirical study - for example on code-switching or the influence of first languages on second languages.
