Programmes for school pupils

With such a huge range of courses to choose from it’s not easy to find the one that suits you best. It is a good idea to start thinking about your choice of study programme, subjects and course content while you are still at high school. Uni Graz offers various early opportunities for school pupils to experience campus life.

Open House

The university opens up to pupils, high school graduates and anyone interested in studying at the University of Graz. Visitors get to know the campus, the wide range of study programmes on offer and the world of science in Graz.

The event takes place annually on the Thursday after Easter - in cooperation with TU Graz and KUG Graz.

Campus tours

Individual campus tours are available for school classes in the sixth form on request. These are led by student guides who show pupils around the research campus and give them some insights into student life. As well as exploring the university itself, this gives pupils an opportunity to ask questions. There is also a presentation on the range of study programmes, information about admission processes, and a chance to ask questions about studying and living in Graz.

4students – Study Info Service can visit schools on request, bringing the wide range of programmes and facilities on offer at the University of Graz, and the world of science and research, right into the classroom. Experienced students will introduce the university’s range of studies and answer pupils’ questions about starting their studies and about student life.

Online info session

A simple alternative, using a computer: the 4students team is happy to provide online advice for interested pupils, introducing the wide range of study programmes available at the University of Graz, and answering questions about admission criteria or starting your studies. Information meetings can be arranged individually on request, for groups of seven or more people.

Fairs

The University of Graz participates in numerous higher education fairs to present its range of courses to prospective students. Members of the 4students team are on hand to provide advice and information materials to visitors about all the programmes of study available at Uni Graz.

Uni taster days

Completely individual and personal to you. For prospective students who will be the first in their family to go to university, or who have a migrant background, an individual uni taster day offers exclusive insights into life on campus. Your visit can be tailored to your wishes and interests. Our peer mentors will take you to a relevant lecture, show you the campus and answer any questions you have.U

University Library (UB)

As a public library, the UB is open to all interested readers – including school pupils, of course. Senior pupils working on their pre-scientific paper for the secondary school leaving examination will find the extensive collection of books very helpful. And of course, using the University Library also offers a taste of student life, which helps with the transition from school to uni!

Mentoring for pupils - Students mentor pupils for a year and help them with writing papers in particular
