The module “Communicate – Intervene – Cooperate” offers you the opportunity to broaden your social-communicative expertise during your studies. This will increase your chances of a successful career: when starting your career, when coping with everyday life at work and also when taking further career steps!

What can you expect?

In the compulsory subjects, you will learn how best to communicate, resolve conflicts, manage leadership tasks and advise organisations. You then choose between 2 specialisations: You will deepen your social skills or acquire basic expertise in setting up a company. And, of course, you won't just be taught in frontal lessons, but interactive and practice-orientated forms of teaching and learning, including work in peer groups.

Helmut Jungwirth, Science Buster, tried to explain his research to his father and failed – for years. Then he learned to convey the content in a way that his father understood. Correct communication can be learned and practised, playfully and practically – and now this is available in the master module Communicating – Intervening – Cooperating.

Course Overview

The Master's module is designed as a complete unit with compulsory subjects and two specialisation options. The compulsory subjects include communication, conflict management, leadership, self-management, counselling and presentation skills. In the specialisation subjects, you can choose between social skills and entrepreneurship:

Basics Communicating - Intervening- Cooperating (compulsory subject)	reflect on their own conversational behaviour and describe mechanisms for communicating, present appropriately to groups and teams and express thoughts clearly, describe conflict dynamics and apply conflict resolution strategies, act in a self-directed manner in challenging group situations, accompany and advise organisations and their stakeholders in development processes, act convincingly in leadership situations
Social comptences (elective courses)	develop the organisational and operational structure of project management and manage project controlling, work professionally in interdisciplinary teams, communicate a professionally relevant topic to a broad public, develop options for action in intercultural contexts, apply strategies for co-operative agreements, deal with suggestions and complaints from others in a sociable, reliable and open manner
Entrepreneurship (elective courses)	to deal with failures discover and develop their own resources and potential, name and categorise acts of founding a company, name, assess and reflect on the possibilities of managing organisations in unstable times, name and explain approaches, concepts and attitudes to setting up a business, outline, link and critically reflect on management tasks, roles and requirements, better understand people's reactions, especially in leadership situations
